About:

I have created this artwork with a computer. Some of my artwork is what is called a “fractal”. Another way to describe the fractal images would be, “a graphical representation of a mathematical equation”. Other works are generated using custom algorithms and computer programs to draw the geometric shapes and figures at random. I have been doing this for many years and find amazement in what the computer can create with little interaction or direction from the artist. I hope you enjoy the artwork. If you wish to know more, please email me at the link below for more information about the artwork or more information on the creation and production process that I use. On this site you will find a collection of ART created by Mark Bitz. The idea of creating artwork with a computer had come to me more than two decades ago. My background is in computer science. I graduated from Western Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a master’s degree in Leadership from Central Michigan University. I love to paint as I have created several paintings but I get the most joy out of the artwork that comes from letting the computer decide what to create based on the randomizations in the programs that I use and create. This website will show you what I have been able to accomplish with a computer in creating artwork. I created this website to share what I have created and accomplished in using programs, algorithms, and methodologies to create these particular pieces of artwork. I have chosen these pieces based upon the level of complexity and the graphics that represent the programs used. I wish this to be a technical exhibit for those who like abstract "technical", contemporary, or expressionism.
